Grape Seed Oil
Halagel® Grape Seed Oil is extracted from the seeds of various varieties of Vitis vinifera or wine grapes. Grape Seed Oil is a very useful natural oil; can be used for salad dressings, marinades, cooking, baking, massage, sunburn repair lotion, lip balm and hand creams. It is moisturizing and rejuvenating when you use it on your skin.
Grape seed also contains several antioxidants such as polyphenols which shows some health benefits. A study has suggested that grape seed oil may increase High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol level and reduce Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol level. It is hypothesized that HDL can removed cholesterol from blood streams and transport to the liver for excretion. Therefore, HDL cholesterol is termed as good cholesterol. Our body needs HDL to protect ourselves against cardiovascular diseases which is always associated with bad LDL cholesterol.
