Puteri Gunung Ledang
Puteri Gunung Ledang is a legendary Malaysian folklore about a princess who resides in Mount Ledang or “Gunung Ledang” during the Sultanate of Malacca in the late 15th century. Her beauty is well-known across the land and has attracted marriage proposal from the Sultan of Malacca who wishes to marry her at all cost.
Tiara Jaquelina and M.Nasir starred in this tale of forbidden romance between Gusti Putri Retno Dumilah (a.k.a. Puteri Gunung Ledang) and Hang Tuah, who are torn between duty and love. This 2004 movie production is set in the historic and mythical era where loyalty and honor to the country precede personal desires.
